As a part of The Mind Unwind Foundation’s Youth Outreach Programs, we have developed a FREE and innovative way for Teens to get involved with art through our unique “Art-Ternships”

The “Art-Ternship” program at Mind Unwind is a great opportunity for students with an interest in a future in art or teaching to gain experience.  Ages 12-18 will develop art business knowledge, skills and behaviors useful in a variety of occupations while being mentored by Mind Unwind artists. The hours that students participate in the program can be used as community service hours required by Seattle Schools.

  • Assist instructors in teaching elementary age art classes
  • Participate in art discussions and forums
  • Contribute to art blog and social media
  • Plan and participate in community art projects
  • Participate in art challenges designed by Mind Unwind instructors and artists to improve your skills and nurture creativity

If you are reliable and able to commit to one or two days a week for classes and meetings and are interested in pursuing a career in art or teaching, email us at create@mindunwind.org with your name, age, school, volunteer experience, art experience, art interests (ie favorite medium or style), email address, and days that you are available.
